Stowe Mountain Resort is part of the Epic Pass, Stowe is where the 10th Mountain Division was born and where ski patrol as we know it today was first created and developed. Twelve lifts, including two gondolas, await and are ready to take you to any of Stowe's 116 trails covering 2,360 feet of vertical. Based in the resort's world class Adventure Center, lessons come by way of an all day camp experience for three to 16 year olds with a Big Easy option for first timers who might not be ready for a whole day.
Beginner Trails (Limber Lane/Bruce Trail Loop, 6 kilometers round-trip): Easy sequence of quick gradual climbs to Bruce Trail junction. Turn left on Bruce Trail to descend to Ranch Brook. Just over the bridge, flip left on the Burt Trail a scenic, relatively flat run bordering Ranch Brook. Intermediate Trails (Peavey Trail/Bear Run/Burt Trail, 9 kilometers round-trip): Gradual and steep climbs alongside Peavey Trail to Bear Run junction. Take a left flip onto Bear Run and continue around the loop to Burt Trail. Down the Burt Trail, take a left onto Crosscut #1 to Timberland and return to the visiting center.
Advanced Trails (along outer perimeter of trail network Peavey Trail/Double Bit/Bear Run/Ranch Valley Cruise/Stowe Derby Trail, 12 kilometers round-trip): Very challenging head out on Peavey Trail and take a right onto Double Bit. Continue on Double Bit and take a right onto Bear Run. Follow the Bear Run Loop to a right on Ranch Camp Trail. Take a left on Old Camp, a rapid right on Cant Dog, left onto Ranch Valley Cruise and down Old Camp to the Burt. Follow downstream to Crosscut #1, take a left onto Timberlane and return to the touring center.
It's easy to relax and enjoy your time at Stowe when you know your children are in good hands. We are all about safety, learning and fun. Stowe's children's programs are headquartered at Spruce Peak, where the broad and gentle runs provide a great environment for learning. Advanced skiers and riders explore the terrain that has given Stowe its reputation as the best in the East. The philosophy of our children's programming is to build self-esteem and a lifelong passion for winter sports, while providing a safe and fun learning environment. We can't wait to share our love for winter with your children.
